One of the objectives of the board of directors of Girona FC is to spread and increase the presence and image of Girona, not only in its own city but also in the rest of the regions in Girona and in North Catalonia. This Thursday, to continue on this track, an agreement was reached between the Montilivi club and the companies “Idiomatic Language Services” and “Up! Escola d’Idiomes”. AThis collaboration, as the institutional vice-president of Girona, Jordi Miró explained is based on three principal points. In the first place, according to what Miró said, “the idea which we have called Espacios Girona FC (Girona FC Spaces) with be created. They will be places where there is a physical presence of the club, where located in premises which Idiomàtic has in Girona, Figueres and Perpignan;, merchandise products will be sold – T-shirts, scarves, etc.- furthermore being points where, whosoever wishes, will be able to become members and collect cards, without having to travel to Montilivi”.
The second point of the agreement between the club and the company is that by means of d’Idiomàtic, translations the Girona web page will have a version in Spanish Spanish and in Japanese.
Miró reasoned out this feature arguing that “the majority of visitors to our website are those who speak Catalan and Spanish and furthermore, since the arrival of Ibusuki Hiroshi we have noticed a noticeable quantity of visits of Internet users from Japan”. Furthermore, and as a mater of interest, it must be said that Hiroshi studies Catalan and Spanish four days a week in the classrooms of d’Up! Idiomes.
The third and final part of the presented agreement this Thursday directly benefits the members of Girona. The red and white members will able to learn languages in the classrooms of “Up!” enjoying a 20% discount on the price of the courses.
Jordi Miró added that “in times of crisis alliances with between companies are the right track to follow to be able, not only to survive, but also grow, and this is the agreement that Girona has come to with "Idiomatic”.
On one part, Andrew Dickin, one of the founders of Idiomatic along with Daniel Creus, were very satisfied with this agreement with the Montilivi club. Dickin, who also is the Honorary British Consul in Girona, framed the relations of the red and white entity with his company with need for the “internationalisation” of Girona FC. On the part of Daniel Creus he underlined the social content of this pact and the synergies which the two entities generate “to be able to face up to a future which is more and more positive”.
